The First Look Fair is one of the longest running involvement traditions at the University of Maryland. The event is host to more than 500 student clubs and organizations, campus departments and services, local vendors, and community service agencies.

Research is a primary focus for UMD's Physics Department and our SPS chapter. One of the ways we try to help our students get involved with research on campus is through our Undergraduate Research Fair.

Effective communication is a key aspect to working in physics and physics-related fields. Once students get involved with research, they need a way to be able to present their ideas to their peers and professors. To aid in this, SPS sponsors an annual Undergraduate Research Showcase.
